Follow the steps in order. It takes about 5 minutes. {% hint style="info" %} This guide is for the **All Maps Access** subscription. If you bought a single map, use the [Installation guide](https://fm-shop.gitbook.io/fm-shop-docs/installation/installation-guide) instead. The two guides are different. {% endhint %} You **do not need to edit, move or delete any file** inside our folders. ## Before you start * You need access to your server files: the folder that contains `resources` and `server.cfg`. If you use **txAdmin**, it is the *Server Data Folder* shown in the txAdmin settings. * Download our resources from **portal.cfx.re → Granted Assets**, using the **same Cfx.re account** that owns your server key. See [Receiving your purchase](https://fm-shop.gitbook.io/fm-shop-docs/getting-started/receiving-your-purchase). ## Steps {% stepper %} {% step %} ### Stop the server Always stop the server before adding or updating maps. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Copy the folders Unzip everything you downloaded, then copy **all** the `cfx-fm-...` folders **directly** inside `resources`. ``` resources/ ├─ cfx-fm-map-data-sub/ │ ├─ fxmanifest.lua <- this file must be right here │ ├─ gta5.meta │ └─ stream/ ├─ cfx-fm-city-hall-exterior-sub/ ├─ cfx-fm-aldente-interior-sub/ └─ ... ``` {% hint style="danger" %} **Do not put our folders inside other folders**, for example `resources/[maps]/cfx-fm-map-data-sub`. The `cfx-fm-map-data-sub` resource loads some files from its exact path, and inside another folder they stop working. {% endhint %} **Do not rename our folders.** The names must match the lines you add in the next step. **Common mistake:** after unzipping, some folders end up doubled, like `cfx-fm-map-data-sub/cfx-fm-map-data-sub/fxmanifest.lua`. Open each folder: if you do not see `fxmanifest.lua` right away, move the inner folder up one level. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Add the maps to `server.cfg` Open `server.cfg` with a text editor (in txAdmin: **CFG Editor**, in the left menu). Choose **one** of the two blocks below and paste it **at the end** of the file. * **City Hall:** there are two locations. Choose Block A **or** Block B. Never both. * **PDM:** there are two versions of the same map in different locations. The `ph` version is active. To use the `rh` version, put `#` in front of the `ph` line and remove the `#` from the `rh` line. Never use both. It is safe: the server creates it again on start. Do this every time you install or update a map. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Start the server and check the console Start the server and wait about 10 seconds. The console shows a short **FM Maps** summary. {% endstep %} {% endstepper %} ## What the console shows **Everything correct:** a green message. ``` [FM Maps] ---------------------------------------------------------------- [FM Maps] All good! Your FM maps are installed correctly. [FM Maps] 31 maps running | City Hall: Legion Square [FM Maps] ---------------------------------------------------------------- ``` **Something to fix:** a red message. Each problem comes with how to fix it. ``` [FM Maps] ---------------------------------------------------------------- [FM Maps] 1 thing to fix, then restart the server: [FM Maps] 1. Two City Hall versions are running (Legion Square and Little Seoul). [FM Maps] How to fix: In server.cfg keep only ONE City Hall (Step 3). [FM Maps] ---------------------------------------------------------------- ``` **No FM Maps message at all:** `cfx-fm-map-data-sub` did not start. Check that the folder is directly in `resources` (Step 2) and that `ensure cfx-fm-map-data-sub` is in `server.cfg` (Step 3). Then look for red errors in the console that mention `cfx-fm-`. ## Troubleshooting **"Couldn't find resource cfx-fm-..."** The folder is doubled (see Step 2) or was renamed. The folder name must be exactly the one written after `ensure`. **"You lack the required entitlement..."** The resources were downloaded with a different Cfx.re account than the one that owns your server key. Download them again from [portal.cfx.re](https://portal.cfx.re) with the correct account, or generate the server key with the account that bought the subscription. **Missing buildings, floating objects or invisible walls** Two versions of the same map are running. Check that: * only one City Hall and only one PDM are active in `server.cfg`; * you do not have old standalone versions of our maps in `resources` (same name without `-sub`). If you do, delete them; * `cfx-fm-map-data-sub` is in `server.cfg`. **The map looks old after an update** Delete the `cache` folder (Step 4) and restart. Players can also clear their FiveM cache. ## Updating 1. Stop the server. 2. **Delete** the old folder completely, then copy the new one in its place. Do not copy the new files over the old ones. 3.
